I’ve seen some pretty elaborate word walls out there, but I like keeping mine simple so they can be used in a variety ways. Of course, they’re used for KWL charts on the walls and as game cards. But here recently, my favorite way of using them is in interactive notebooks. I shrink them down to use as labels.
Then, my students glue two per page leaving plenty of room for a definition, example, and a doodle for those visual learners. We take a day to set up our notebooks, so they’re ready to be filled in as we go along. Want to try this method too? I’ve just added a freebie in my Teachers Pay Teachers store with printing directions PLUS an editable cover and goals page for your notebook!
Like my style, but need a different word wall set than is in my collection? Send me a message through TpT or email me at classwithelle@gmail so we can chat about what you’re needing.
